How to clean and look after your Crocs Shoes

The best way to take care of your Crocs Shoes

Crocs are great aren't they?  So comfortable,  light and airy.  But all shoes need to be cleaned at some point, and when your Crocs start to look a bit grubby, there are many 'inventive' ways you might want to clean them.

Crocs ShoesPerhaps you could leave your crocs out in the garden when it rains... leave them on your feet while you shower.. maybe stick them on the lawn and get a hose pipe on them?  Some people claim you can put them in the washing machine to be cleaned, or even the dishwasher.  I guess that depends on how particular you are about separating the stuff you eat with from your shoes.
(I would also add that the intense heat in a dishwasher might leave you with a warped or shrunk pair of Crocs, so take care.  This also applies to hot air- don't aim a hairdryer on your Crocs or put them in the tumble drier either)

But what we'd suggest is simply filling a normal washing-up type of bowl with warm water (not cold or hot).  As the bucket is filling up, add a little bit of ordinary washing up liquid.  Never use a really strong detergent (e.g. a cream cleaner), as this may cause corrosion.
Then get a clean rag or cloth and start wiping any dirt off the shoes.  If there are stubborn areas of dirt, get a soft scrubbing brush on them.   It all depends how dirty the crocs shoes are to start with.  Simply going over them with a cloth should be enough in most cases and completely rules out the risk of you scuffing them too hard with a brush.   Next, dry them off with another dry, clean cloth.

Yes, it really is that simple!  You won't end up with banana shaped crocs like you possibly would do with a dishwasher, and it takes about 5 minutes.  (You might burn a few calories too)

Crocs ButterBut there's one more thing you might consider doing.. that is, using Crocs butter.  We supply some here at My Amazing Shoes, and it's bloomin good stuff!  It's basically a sponge applicator containing specially formulated polish which you rub across the top of your Crocs shoes.  It's so easy and the results are amazing- restoring the shoes to their first-bought, totally new condition!
