What are Jibbitz, and how did they come about?

So what on earth are Jibbitz, I hear you say? Well, they're simply little decorative attachments for the holes in your average pair of Crocs. A website was launched in 2005, and Sheri ended up taking around 200 orders a day, which she then handmade in her basement. The rapid growth meant that they could expand, relocate their offices and employ more people. In just one year, 8 million Jibbitz were sold across the globe, being offered in thousands of stores. Crocs bought the Jibbitz company for ten million dollars in 2006, and they remain an incredibly popular accessory for Crocs shoes.
