With our ever so trusted summer nearly ending and the cold weather slowly creeping up, My Amazing Shoes have got the perfect footwear for you all. Last year we had the crocs Mammoth, Ambler and Nadia and this year we have it all. Crocs have still kept with the trusted Nadia, Ambler and Mammoth but have now introduced polar lining. This is a synthetic material which is super soft and comes in the new Blitzen, Mammoth and kids Blitzen.

Kids blitzen

Socks with Crocs

Crocs are fabulous, but wearing them with socks- Is that not a major fashion mistake? It's just like wearing sandals with socks which everyone knows is the biggest error anyone could possibly make.
Just a quick scan over the internet will show you what a talking point this subject is, and I'd say around 70% think it's a bad look, but the majority of those people admit it's still a good idea for comfort and warmth together.
Of course, a good pair of Nadia Crocs will solve that problem, but in the summer, you want to wear your Cayman's whilst take the edge off the odd cold breeze. So in that respect, it's a pretty good idea. However:

Look at George Bush over there on the left. Do you think that's a good look? George is no fashionista but this looks like a real low point, midlife type crisis to me. A Google image search will demonstrate many other examples of this bizarre combination of Crocs with socks. All these pictures bring back harrowing memories of my childhood- being 10 years old, and my mother still insisting I wear little black shoes with knee length white socks.

It looks so disastrous, because it's so obvious and garish. Therefore, the key to wearing Crocs with socks is simply to make it subtle. It's important that your feet are as comfortable as they can be, and it's possible to do that while being discreet. Wearing small trainer socks which match the colour of your Crocs is the perfect solution.

Welcome everybody to our new blog: our aim is to keep you all updated in the world of Crocs, from the latest styles to current news regarding the fantastic Crocs shoes.

This week we have just had our first delivery of our february pre-order from Crocs hq.
First to arrive is a range of kids Crocs.
These are a fantastic addition to our collection and as all scooby doo fans will know, it's the 50th year anniversary of the cartoon.

Firstly we have the Scooby Doo Crocs that have a raised face print of the great scooby on top of the croc shoe. They have a turquoise strap with the authentic scooby doo logo, so not only can your children enjoy being a little mystery solver but as they walk they will leave a scooby doo footprint and a little imprint of the mystery machine too.

For the little girls we have a great little slim sling back kind of croc shoe called Crocs Gabby. These are great for the little fashionistas about and come in two great colours; bright pink and electric blue, and just to add to the coolness of these Crocs, they have included colour matching butterfly Jibbitz on the side!!
To add to the new Crocs Gabby shoes you will be pleased to know these come in single sizes, from the ever so cute 4`s right up to a youth 3.

By no means least we have a new trainer style Crocs Shoe called the Crocs Rally, these come in three colours: white / black, navy / sea blue and cotton candy / fuchsia.
With these new Crocs shoes they are very different from the usual shoes they make, still made from the trusted croslite material so they are super light but they also have elastic laces. To help the feet breath they have little holes on the side that could also be used for a super Jibbitz charm.
The Crocs Rally currently come in 4/5 upto a 12/13.

We will be expecting more Crocs shoes very soon so keep your eyes out for the news.

How to clean and look after your Crocs Shoes

Crocs are great aren't they? So comfortable, light and airy. But all shoes need to be cleaned at some point, and when your Crocs start to look a bit grubby, there are many 'inventive' ways you might want to clean them.

Perhaps you could leave your crocs out in the garden when it rains... leave them on your feet while you shower.. maybe stick them on the lawn and get a hose pipe on them? Some people claim you can put them in the washing machine to be cleaned, or even the dishwasher. I guess that depends on how particular you are about separating the stuff you eat with from your shoes.
(I would also add that the intense heat in a dishwasher might leave you with a warped or shrunk pair of Crocs, so take care. This also applies to hot air- don't aim a hairdryer on your Crocs or put them in the tumble drier either)

But what we'd suggest is simply filling a normal washing-up type of bowl with warm water (not cold or hot). As the bucket is filling up, add a little bit of ordinary washing up liquid. Never use a really strong detergent (e.g. a cream cleaner), as this may cause corrosion.
Then get a clean rag or cloth and start wiping any dirt off the shoes. If there are stubborn areas of dirt, get a soft scrubbing brush on them. It all depends how dirty the crocs shoes are to start with. Simply going over them with a cloth should be enough in most cases and completely rules out the risk of you scuffing them too hard with a brush. Next, dry them off with another dry, clean cloth.

Yes, it really is that simple! You won't end up with banana shaped crocs like you possibly would do with a dishwasher, and it takes about 5 minutes. (You might burn a few calories too)

But there's one more thing you might consider doing.. that is, using Crocs butter. We supply some here at My Amazing Shoes, and it's bloomin good stuff! It's basically a sponge applicator containing specially formulated polish which you rub across the top of your Crocs shoes. It's so easy and the results are amazing- restoring the shoes to their first-bought, totally new condition!

Click to see our Crocs Butter.
